Why Women are Still Insecure Everywhere in the World:

Just 4 years ago on December 16, 2012 was one of the most black days in the history of India, when six hoodlums and drunkards had gang raped and brutally assaulted an innocent girl, in a running bus on the roads of Indian capital. She was fallen victim to the brutal and beastly behavior of men, who have been treating women as a body and an object of sex. In spite of providing best possible treatment in New Delhi and Singapore, her life couldn’t be saved and she succumbed to her injuries and failure of organs, on December 29, 2012.

We are ashamed:

Heads of us, the male fraternity of this country is hanging in shame to you, the brave heart girl for that we could neither save your chastity nor your life. Entire nation is ashamed and also condemns this incidence. We pray Almighty God that your soul may rest in peace.

Youth of this country have united together and almost everyone is demanding death sentence to all those culprits. Now a question is agitating my mind for almost ten days, will hanging six culprits stop this menace from the face of earth? Changing law to award death sentence to rapists may act as a deterrent to some but this may not end the perennial problem being faced by women from ages. This awakening of youth of India shouldn’t go waste! Let all of us come forward and ensure safety of womenfolk not only in India but all over the world.

What should be done?

Now the big question is how to make it possible? Let us do it in a different way.

Every individual living on this earth should take responsibility. Let every one of us must firmly accept our mistakes and shortcomings. We all male members of society are also responsible to some extent in creating this atmosphere of fear and lawlessness. Death of this innocent girl should help saving millions of women who are oppressed, raped, tortured, harassed, brutalized, assaulted, trafficked, burned alive and killed.

Let us bring radical changes in our thoughts and help establishing positivism in this world. To begin with, we must resolve to end this trend now. Our New Year resolution must be for establishing an atmosphere of safety and security for females of this world. And we should adhere to follow this resolution with total honesty and sincerity.

Here are few examples of resolutions for everyone that promote feelings of universal brotherhood among all.

All male persons including youth:

“I resolve to respect every female member of the society as my mother, sister or daughter, depending on her age. I will speak to every one of them with respect and will never ever tease her and will never pass any lewd remark. I will not make any effort to physically assault her. I will make all possible effort to protect womenfolk from unscrupulous persons having mala fide intentions. In 2013, I will raise bar of my positive thoughts towards society and make efforts that this world becomes one of the most beautiful places to live, for every one”

Every Parents:

“I resolve to train my male children and grand children learn to respect female members of society as their mothers or sisters, according to their age. They will be trained in such a way that they speak to every female with respect and will never ever tease them and will never pass any lewd remark. They will also be trained that they never make effort to physically assault female members of society and they will make all possible efforts to protect womenfolk from negative persons having mala fide intentions. In 2013, I will make efforts that the bar of my children’s positive thoughts towards society is raised to an extent that they make this world one of the most beautiful places to live, for every one.”

All females:

“I resolve to learn to protect the self from negative elements of society by learning self defense techniques. I also resolve not to provoke any male members of society by my gestures and my behavior, for an assault. In case they are misbehaving or showing any other negative sign, I must take help of the persons nearby or police. It would also be my endurance to help establishing atmosphere of love, peace and happiness on this earth.”

All teachers:

“I resolve to practice and teach my male students, besides my regular subject, lessons on respecting womenfolk and considering them as mothers or sisters, depending their age. I will also teach them to protect girls from unscrupulous people and their negative behavior.  It would also be my endurance to help establishing atmosphere of love, peace and happiness on this earth.”

All religious and spiritual gurus:

“I resolve to work for spiritual upliftment of all those people who have faith in me and my teachings. I will personally practice abstinence from all sort of negative behavior towards females and will direct my energy in training them and imbibing in them positive traits of giving respect to womenfolk and considering them as mothers, sisters or daughters, depending on their age. It would also be endurance to help establishing atmosphere of love, peace and happiness on this earth.”

All police personnel and member of law enforcing authorities:

“I resolve to practice honesty and respect towards women in my life. I will treat them as my mother, sister or daughter, according to their age and ensure to provide safety and security to womenfolk from unscrupulous elements of society. I will ensure that culprits are appropriately punished and they started abhorring crime. It would also be my endeavor to establish peace, happiness and law of the land.”

All persons belonging to judiciary:

“I resolve to practice honesty and respect towards women in my life. I will treat them as my mother, sister or daughter, according to their age. Within my powers I will ensure that womenfolk remain safe and secure from unscrupulous people living in society. It would also be my endurance that culprits and criminals are punished appropriately and are unable to repeat any crime of molesting and assaulting women. It would also be my endurance to establish peace and happiness on this earth.”

All politicians and law makers:

“I resolve to dedicate my life for practicing honesty in my life and ensure safety and security of the people whom I represent. I will treat womenfolk as my mother, sister or daughter, depending on her age. I also resolve to help creating an atmosphere of fearless living for the womenfolk and I will use my powers in building such laws that help their respectful living in society. It would also be my endurance to help establishing peace, happiness on this earth.”
